Blogging from the Backseat of the Car
I'm blogging from the back seat of the car, on my phone, traveling
back to Pennsylvania after visiting my folks and family in Indiana.
brother-in-law is driving our Honda CRV through the chilly Indiana
air. It's a healthly reminder of how different the landscape is here
that I get as I look out across the country-side. Life is strange that way - you forget something that the instant it
comes back you remember how incredibly ingrained it was for you before
you forgot it. And so it's almost less like you forgot it. And more
like it was simply moved to another area. For me at least it's as though the landscape is as wild and elusive in
my memeory as it is to the elements that inhabit it. Dotting the
stretch of land you might see beaver, or deer - even more
domesticated animals like horses and cattle. It is interesting how progress meets with nature. My time away has created in me a renewed sense of purpose and clarity.
But for how long? I'll definately try to keep the focus and the clean,
clear energy I feel I've revived. And I'll surely reach a point again
-sometime- when I come down from the mountain and feel consumed and
encumbered by schedules, and deadlines, and to-do lists. But not for now. For the time being I will capture the moment. I'll
consume it. I'll wring it like water-soaked towel, delighting in every
ounce of the juice I'm able to squeeze from it. And I'll know better
too about how reserve and conserve energies in the moment. I'll keenly
apply only that which is necessary to what all I'm doing. And I'll
make mine and that of those around me's positions, their situations
smarter, better. And all just because I've had time enough to look out over the
landscape and at least for a moment breath deep without any worries.
